A message from Affiliate Manager Kristina Lynn:
Hello, everyone! If there is a single question we get from nearly all new affiliates, it is why we don't provide banners. And it's a great question! The reasons are these: Banners don't send buyers, whereas people do. Affiliates that are successful with the program pre-sell in some way, shape or form prior to sending someone to us, which a banner just cannot do. In short, banners send "lookie-loos" -- individuals not really interested and not really not interested. To put this in perspective: when is the last time you, yourself, clicked on a banner ad and bought something...? If you're like roughly 96% of people on the internet, its been either never; or, a very, very long time ago!
Our affiliates actually make more money than we do on any referred sale, and this is the way it should be as the affiliate is doing the work. That being said, we do expect a bit of hustle and pre-sell from affiliates above and beyond pasting code. Having the program structured like this ensures that we get enthusiastic, creative and adept affiliates; and, ensures our affiliates one of the highest relative base payouts of any type of affiliate program, anywhere in the world, online or off. =)
